When it rains in Austin, its usually quick and heavy. The roads become slick and dangerous, the air starts to smell of all the dead sun-soaked grass, trash that’s melted into the sidewalk, and the build up of dried dog urine – at least in East Austin. At the same time, though, the rain is well needed and very welcomed.

Can you sum up Austin? The place I live is still very new to me, but I have realized a few things about it: its hot, its spread out, its bright, its dark, and its wild.
Occupation: I spend most of the day with dogs.
Preoccupation: Still spending most of the day with dogs.
A perfect day in Austin? Breakfast tacos, swimming, sitting on the front porch.
If someone was visiting, what must they do? Eat sometimes surprisingly good food from a truck in a vacant lot or behind a bar, swim in a natural spring, and watch the sunset.
What is the best thing about your spot? The extra wide bike lanes.
What is the worst? The over abundance of graphic designers.
A little known fact about where you live? Its the only city in the world that still operates moonlight towers.
Where is your favorite place in the world? I don’t think I’ve found it yet.
