Instabreakin in Diamond Bar, California, USA
It all started on an ‘instameet’ at the beach a couple months ago. My friend David knew I was a breakdancer. He wanted me to bust a move so he could put it on his Instagram and so I did it. A few other Instagram’ers at the instameet were surprised and wanted shots of me as well. After the meet was over, they all encouraged me to start a hashtag #beachbreakin. That was the pioneer hashtag! Then a couple days later I decided to commit my instagram to artistic breakdancing shots only and rename the series #instabreakin.
Place you live: Diamond Bar, California
Can you sum up Diamond Bar? I live in small suburban area in the Los Angeles County. Most people in my town are big commuters and work in the city. Overall, Diamond Bar is surrounded by a diverse landscape. Within a 15 min-20 min drive you can be at the beautiful Californian beach or a snow covered mountain. Diamond Bar is perfect place for an explorer like me.
Occupation: Full-Time student at California State University, Fullerton and a dancer for GRV
A perfect day? The perfect day in my town is a 70- degree Saturday with clear skies. Taking a Hike at a near-by trail is always breathtaking on a beautiful day in Diamond Bar. If someone was visiting, what must they do? You should definitely have some Pho (a Vietnamese noodle soup) and boba milk tea (an asian dessert). We have the best around. Then after a delicious meal take a nice hike on steep canyon trail for a breath-taking sunset.
A perfect meal in Diamond Bar? The perfect meal on a rainy day is at Saigon Noodle House. A big bowl of Vietnamese Noodle Soup always hits the spot.
What is the best thing about your spot? The weather is never harsh and it is one of the safest towns I know.
What is the worst? The worst part about Diamond Bar is the 7am traffic and the 6pm traffic. Being that my town is filled commuters most people come home around those times.
Where is your favorite place in the world? Taipei, Taiwan
Who is your favorite photographer? Well to be specific, David Gamboa, a close friend and a well-known instagramer has taught me almost everything I know about photography. He has always played a big inspiration to me in photography and other aspects in life.
