This shot was taken at 5:45am. It is just before the rush hour starts in Montreal. The first trains are all coming in to the central station (Berry UQUAM) and Sherbrooke is the last stop. The subway system was up and running in 1966 just before Expo 67.

Can you sum up Montréal? One of the most diverse cities I’ve lived in. Montréal is an ever changing creative bubble. There is never a dull moment in this city. Not only does it stand out for it’s blend of architecture and mélange of cultures, it is one of the most «opinionated» places on earth. Everyone has a point of view which can lead to amazing demonstrations or a collective movement for something all Montrealers believe in.

A perfect day in Montréal? Walking to work early in the morning. From the plateau, through McGill campus through a maze of streets downtown. It’s the hour just before traffic hits. You can feel the buildup of energy. Great way to start the day.
If someone was visiting, what must they do? Hit the restaurants! This is foodie paradise. Take a stroll up Mont Royal. Not too many cities in the world have a mountain smack in the middle of downtown. AMAZING.
A perfect meal in Montréal? The Garde Manger in Old Montreal.
What is the best thing about your spot? The atmosphere and the food!
A little known fact about where you live? Montreal has the second highest number of restaurants per capita in North America.
