Mimic by Stephanie Noritz in Brooklyn, NY

  • Met Rooftop, New York City

This photograph was taken on the rooftop of the Metropolitan Museum of Art. I like the stance of the women mimicking the buildings in the background while occupied with their phones.

Name: Stephanie Noritz

Place you live: Brooklyn, New York

Place your photo was taken: On the rooftop of The Metropolitan Museum of Art, New York City

Occupation: Photographer

Preoccupation: cooking, traveling

What is a perfect day in NY? Meeting a friend and walking around the city – dipping into shops, galleries, bookstores – and people watching over coffee at La Colombe.

For the visitor? Take an early morning walk at Highline Park.

A perfect meal? The burger at Diner in Brooklyn, or for brunch the montecristo sandwich and bloody mary (filled with their own pickled vegetables) at Prune.

A locals only tip? It’s easy to enjoy a night out in NYC on the cheap. If you do a little research, almost every museum has a free night and there are countless gallery openings and parties with free booze.

A little known fact about where you live? Sadly, I live in a neighborhood with one of the largest oil spills ever recorded in the U.S. – Greenpoint!

Your favorite place in the world? Besides New York? France.
