Can you sum up Paris? I was born in Tokyo, Japan, therefore I come from a Buddhist culture consisting of minimalism, restraint and subtraction. When I moved to Europe, I discovered the culture of baroque consisting of accumulation, enticement, dizziness. My art is located in between these opposite significations.
