Place your Instagram were taken? Most of the photos I take are either in Chicago or NYC. I do travel a lot so they could be anywhere, really.
Can you sum up Chicago? Chicago is very cultured and has so much good food. Although it’s a huge city it still has that neighborhood feel of a smaller town. It’s cold most of the year, but absolutely perfect in the summer.
What is a perfect day in Chicago? I’ll start with coffee in Wicker Park either at La Colombe or Intelligentsia. I’ll take a bike ride along lakeshore in the afternoon and then find a spot to people watch and take photos downtown. Evenings are best in Wicker Park eating tacos with friends at Big Star.
How long have you been using Instagram? About three years I believe.
Do you shoot with your phone or other cameras or both? Camera mostly, I shoot with a Nikon D800.
What is your editing process? I edit everything on Lightroom then bring it over to my phone and lightly edit it on VSCOcam app.
Do you create images outside of Instagram? Yes, all the time. I do photography for a living and Instagram is just all the fun stuff and travels I share on the side.
Has Instagram/phoneography affected how you shoot? It got me into street style more. I never took any street photos before Instagram, everything I shot before was either studio or portraits.
Can you give a couple tips to aspiring Instagram photographers? Stay curious, try new things and keep at it.

Chicago has some really incredible architecture. I suggest finding a way to see it all from different vantage points either from observatories, a boat, or even a helicopter flight.
Local tip:
Check out Wicker Park, Andersonville, and Logan Square neighborhoods for food, coffee, and shops instead of staying downtown the whole time.
