#landscape in Kyushu Island
One of the best things about Instagram is that you have the ability to discover amazing new places and talented photographers from all over the world. Nocco Katsuki fits that bill perfectly and delivers beautiful Instagrams of his home on the Japanese island of Kyushu. Place you live: Fukuoka, Japan.
Can you sum up Fukuoka? Fukuoka is the capital city of Fukuoka Prefecture and is situated on the northern shore of the island of Kyushu in Japan. It is the most populous city in Kyushu. Ranked the 12th most livable city in the world in the Monocle Magazine in 2012, Fukuoka was praised for its green spaces in a metropolitan setting. Fukuoka is home to many festivals (matsuri) that are held throughout the year, of these the most famous are Hakata Dontaku and Hakata Gion Yamakasa.
For the visitor? 1: Hakata-Dontaku. A festival held in May where you can see traditional dance. 2: Yatai! Fukuoka’s open air food stands, enjoy the atmosphere and “ICHI-GO ICHI-E” .
Best meal in the city? Tonkotsu ramen Yatai, the best place to find them is on the southern end of Nakasu Island.
How long have you been using Instagram? Since September 2011.
What camera phone do you use to shoot? iPhone 4S.
Editing process?/What apps do you use, if any to edit your photos? I almost always use Afterlight. Then finally I might also use filter on top in Instagram.
Do you create images outside of instagram? No. Instagram only.
Who are your three favorite Instagrammers? Such a hard question… @jaredchambers, He is an awesome photographer and always inspires me. @denisebovee, I love her life style. Family, friends, beach, and sunshine. So cool! and @bythebrush, I feel the breeze when I see her pictures, and that’s amazing!
