Place your Instagrams were taken? Portland, the Gorge, Mt Hood and the Oregon Coast.
Can you sum up Portland? A little gem of a city full of good food nestled perfectly between the coast and the mountains.
What is a perfect day in Portland? The perfect day would start out with a grueling all-day hike finished up with a good beer and a burger.
If Portland was a person or character who would it be? I would have to say Portland is like a college dropout trying to be an artist who wants to live in the woods.
How long have you been using Instagram? I have been using Instagram for three years now.
Do you shoot with your phone or other cameras or both? I only use my iPhone for Instagram posts.
What is your editing process? I mainly use VSCO to edit and also like the Afterlight app.
Do you create images outside of Instagram? I share additional photos outside of Instagram on my website FindYourOwnAdventures.com. I also work as a graphic designer so I get to create all day long.
Has Instagram/phoneography affected how you shoot? Instagram was the sole reason I became interested in photography/phoneography. It’s inspired me to want to capture the beautiful places I go and to become a better photographer.
Can you give a couple tips to aspiring Instagram photographers? I like to use people in my photos to show the perspective of how expansive a place in nature is, like a tall waterfall. Filters should only enhance your photos, not change the whole image. And if your photo is grainy, you can’t use it!
