Can you sum up Nashville? Nashville is big and small at the same time, jam-packed with huge talent, but tangible. There’s an incredibly welcoming and supportive creative community here that I’ve completely fallen in love with!
What is a perfect day in Nashville? A perfect day would be breakfast at Sam & Zoe’s, getting a few hours of work done at Steadfast Coffee (with a few refills of their Coffee Soda…AMAZING), a bike ride through Harpeth State Park if the weather’s good, dinner at Edley’s BBQ or City House, then drinks, music and a bonfire with friends!
If Nashville was a person or character who would it be and why? Nashville would be Jared Leto. Good at everything and surprisingly down to earth.
What is your editing process? In-phone editing is always a mix of Snapseed, VSCO and Instagram’s built-in editing tools. The specific edits change every time, but those are always in the lineup!
Has Instagram/phoneography affected how you shoot? ABSOLUTELY! It has challenged me to capture true moments more accurately as I perceive them, because I want the story I’m telling to welcome people in on things as if they were there with me. I really love how IG has affected my shooting!
Can you give a couple tips to aspiring Instagram photographers? Just be you! Like any other social media channel, IG can become a drain on your actual life and creativity if you start trying to emulate what others are doing instead of growing the real you. It’s a recipe for burnout. But you’ll never run out of inspiration or things to share if your goal is to dig deeper into who you are and what you love.
