Brooklyn Botanical Garden in Brooklyn, NY, USA
The Brooklyn Botanical Garden is a New Yorker’s escape from the hustle and bustle of the city, within the city. As the seasons change the garden changes with them. It is a treat to escape from the buildings, the cars and the subway for a bit and enjoy the views sitting under the trees or walking in the Japanese garden. Spring is especially beautiful because of all of the different flowering plants and trees the garden has, especially the cherry blossoms. We got especially lucky the day we shot these photos. My friend and I went for a picnic and had almost the entire garden to ourselves to hang out under the trees, walk along the pond and take pictures… sweet little afternoon in the park, Brooklyn style.

Brooklyn is Manhattan’s younger, cooler sister.
The best days are Saturdays in Brooklyn. Everyone hanging out, kids playing basketball, handball, soccer in the parks, late brunches on sidewalks, dogs, kids, markets…
My favorite day is Saturday. Up early to get my pup to the park before off leash hours are done so he can run with me around the park a few times, then straight to the farmers market for fresh eggs, apples, this time of year we are getting amazing brussels sprouts, and squash.
Then we usually head to brunch with friends or make it at home, wander through the Brooklyn Flea, head to Bam for a movie or just read in the park…
It’s Brooklyn
I can’t stand cold weather.
How quiet it is at night
My city is several people. Artists, Film Makers, Photographers, Chefs, Writers, Moms, Gardeners… No one person could ever embody Brooklyn.
