Moors in Stoke Beach, Devon, England, UK
Exeter is a small University town in Devon. Everyone knows each other and is willing to have a chat over a pint or two. Thanks to the University it has a relatively high population but it feels like a tiny village that time forgot. I wake up every day and see goats grazing outside my apartment on the grass of endless green rolling hills. I spend my time in these hills that the locals call moors, as well as cycling to the nearby beaches like Stoke where I took this series. Nature is extremely accessible in Exeter.

Devon is full of 100 year old pubs, sheep, rolling hills, endless mind-blowing coastline, and too many rivers and streams to count. It’s the kind of place that has a hip coffee scene where local artists and musicians sit happily with little old ladies drinking Earl Grey.
Wake up and ride my bike to my favorite coffee spot where my friends work, and enjoy a flat white of some Single Origin Monmouth Coffee, grab a beer at the local pub and finish the night on a rooftop with a bottle of Monkey 47 and a few friends with guitars.
It’s still a secret. I was a little worried about doing a nude photo shoot with a local model, but no one ever appeared. You have to climb over a giant rock or around it during high tide. Apparently people aren’t adventurous enough to explore the area.
It’s always raining in Devon.
I was an outsider. An American who was living in England. I was surprised at the conversations I had with complete strangers. Americans keep to themselves more. The English like to have a chat and make fun of themselves. People don’t take themselves so damn seriously like the rest of the world.
I have been traveling and living away from America for four years now. I’m currently on my way to the Arctic Circle with two other photographers. Alaska has been a place I’ve always wanted to visit. I can’t wait. I’ll also probably make my way back to Asia to hit up Mongolia soon. That’s also at the top of my list.
