Foggy Mornings in Rumson
Rumson is a central New Jersey shore town surrounded by two rivers. We’re right next to the Atlantic Ocean. Fog is a regular occurrence here, and I often enjoy long morning walks taking fog photos. Rumson is full of woods and very large parks. I think what I love most is the easy commute by boat into Manhattan. Many of my photos are taken in Manhattan as it’s a huge source of inspiration for me. I can spend three days a week in the city, and the rest taking long walks in the country.

Taking photos, playing tennis and hiking.
I live in a beautiful, tight-knit community called Rumson. Rumson is home to long, winding roads lined with trees, as well as rivers, parks, local businesses, and friendly people. It is also a short, five-minute drive to the beach in Sea Bright, where I often take photos.
As fog is one of my favorite subjects, my perfect day in Rumson is waking up to a foggy mist. This always makes me excited to get out and take photos on the beach, in the woods, or on the street. The rest of the day is spent playing tennis and having dinner with my family.
The best thing about where I live is that I am able to take photos of water, land or the city, all in the same vicinity.
I think the only thing Rumson lacks is mountains.
Given New Jersey’s reputation for being unattractive, people would be surprised how scenic it can be here.
